How to Play a Football Player Guessing Game

"Player guessing game" covers several different soccer mechanics. The three most common ones are these:

1. Finding the intersection. Two clubs are given and you have to name a player who turned out for both. It takes squad memory.

2. Guessing from a career.A player's club history is revealed one step at a time; the earlier you name him, the better.

3. Guessing from clues. Nationality, position, year of birth and similar hints are given, and you work out the player.

Step by step in 321 Football!

1. Open the game and pick a mode (Online 1v1, Play with a Friend, Knowledge Ladder, Whose Career Is This?).
2. Two clubs appear on screen, with 5-6 names listed underneath.
3. Before the clock runs out, pick the player who turned out for both.
4. A correct answer scores; if time runs out or you pick wrong, the round goes to your opponent.
5. At the end of the round you see the other valid answers and the player's career details.

Tactics

• Do not try to memorise squads; think about transfer routes. What is the typical path from one club to the other?
• Transfers between rivals are rare — in those pairings the answer is usually an unexpected name.
• If you are unsure, be fast: a wrong answer ends the round, but so does waiting.
